![]() ![]() Us simps, obviously wanted him to be alive and somehow be reunited with Violet. When the trailer was released, I was honestly super freaking excited because in the Violet Evergarden anime series, we were sorta left hanging on whether Gilbert was still alive or not. Now I’m gonna move on to discuss the whole movie in the paragraph below so i f you don’t want any spoilers, this is where you should stop reading & start watching the series + movie hahah. Storytelling wise, I honestly think they did a great job at it – even if I were to just watch the movie before the series, it would still be an amazing movie. The animation, imo, was top notch – i loved the drawing style and the whole moodboard. Storyline was very moving, realistic and super centered around Violet Evergarden despite having other character developments throughout the series. My rating for the whole Violet Evergarden series and movie would be 10/10. The anime series does give you a very in depth view on Violet Evergarden as a person – not as deep as I would have preferred it to be, but it’s good enough to be able to relate to the character. The pace of the anime is slightly slower than the regular type of animes that I watch but it is precisely because of the pace that you really get to let the emotions sink in. Very briefly, Violet Evergarden is a story about a girl who was once a soldier, experiencing life post-war. Missed the fan screening because the tickets ran out super quickly □ but managed to catch it as soon as it was out in cinemas so it’s all good!Īnyway if you have not heard of this anime, I would highly recommend to check out the series first before watching this movie – it’ll give you more background to the story in the movie, giving it more depth. The long awaited Violet Evergarden:The Movie is finally out in the cinemas here in Malaysia! ![]()
